Sparkfun Werkstatt-Ø1 Mod Kit - retired

Sparkfun's Werkstatt mod kit - the link from the homepage here still works - is listed as a "retired product." You can't order it anymore. With Moogfest 2016 fast approaching & the Werkstatt project alive and vibrant, can y'all persuade Sparkfun to revive the Werkstatt bundle?

I'm prolly go order the components individually there. But it will be a pain. Rescue future Werkstatters!

I totally agree;

I just ordered a werkstatt

I just ordered a werkstatt and was hoping to use it for teaching. I don't mind buying the individual parts, but the lack of support makes me wonder how long this will be around.

Inquiry with Sparkfun

Hi, I wrote to Sparkfun re: the kit; below find their response. All items not listed have sufficient specs on the original web page of the kit to identify them for an order from Sparkfun.

"Thank you for getting in touch with us. At this point, it looks like there are no plans to re-release this kit. However, I can certainly give the specs ( or possibly even links ) to the components included in the kit.

►1x SoftPot Membrane Potentiometer (50mm) – [ ]
►1x Mini Photocell – [ ]
►2x Red LED – 5mm – [ ]. Looking at the Push Button Vibrato project [ ], they’re using to 1kΩ resistor for the LED. Resistor value is determined by the LED’s specs and voltage going in. When in doubt, I use this calculator [ ].
►4x Momentary Push Button Switch – 12mm – We originally used these [ ], but if you’re going to be working on a breadboard, I would suggest using these [ ]. The straight pins make them much more breadboard-friendly, and they spec the same as the old ones.

I hope that this information helps. Thanks again for contacting us, and have a great day!"

It would be great if they offered the kit again or if some place would list all the parts from the bills of material of the original Moog mods and make them available as one handy kit.
